The Poor Man’s Opera this Fri. June 10 @ 8pm (no cover charge)
The Poor Man’s Opera is a Rock ‘n’ Roll band based in northern New Jersey, where they’ve been playing every bucket o’ blood saloon, juke joint and roadhouse for the past few years. “Barstool Confessional” is the first full-length collection of their original material, featuring compositions by the group’s lead singer/songwriter Mark Moran (who also happens to be the publisher of Weird N.J. magazine). The band draws most of its musical influences from traditional American country and folk-rock inspirations.
